Egypt, Siemens probe cooperation in green energy projects

CAIRO - 16 October 2022: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi discussed Sunday joint cooperation with Siemens Company in the green energy projects, according to the Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Rady.
 
Rady elaborated that this discussion comes within the framework of Egypt's endeavor to become a regional center for the production and exchange of new and renewable energy
 
Sisi expressed appreciation for the achievements reached by Siemens Company in implementing development projects and its success in establishing power stations in Egypt.
 
This came during a meeting here Sunday with Joe Kaiser, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the global "Siemens" company, attended by Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Dr Mohamed Shaker, CEO of "Siemens" Energy Christian Bruch and the Managing Director of Siemens Energy in Egypt and Engineer Laila Al-Haris.
 
Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Rady said the president said Egypt is looking forward to benefiting from the expertise of the company in a number of renewable energy development sectors.
 
For his part, Kaiser praised the fruitful cooperation with Egypt, citing a number of energy projects, adding that the company is looking forward to developing partnership with Egypt particularly in the new and renewable energy fields and upgrading the infrastructure
