CAIRO - 15 July 2017: Egypt's Solera Holdings company unveiled its plans to implement projects in Liberia and Sudan.

The company will carry out a solar-power project in Liberia for generating 1.1 gigawatt hours of electricity per year.

The project, to be carried out in cooperation with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and several international partners, will contribute to boosting relations between Egypt and African countries, Solera said in a statement on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the company said it seeks to implement a solar-powered irrigation project in Sudan. Under the project, solar energy will generate 240 kilowatts of electricity in order to operate a central axis serving 100 feddans.
