Egypt’s FM, Secretary-General of D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation discuss ways of enhancing ties

CAIRO - 28 May 2022: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry received on Saturday the Secretary-General of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation Ambassador Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry downtown Cairo, where the Foreign Minister congratulated the Secretary-General on his recent assumption of office.

Shoukry also congratulated Abdulqadir on the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the founding of the D-8, expressing Egypt's support for the work and objectives of the organization, said Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson, Ambassador Ahmed Hafez in a statement.

The meeting tackled ways to strengthen cooperation frameworks between Egypt and the organization in the coming period, Hafez said.

Minister Shoukry also expressed his aspiration for more cooperation with the organization in the various fields, especially the promotion of trade and investment, Hafez continued.
