CAIRO - 12 April 2022: The Cabinet Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) has said that the government allocated more than LE 1.1 billion to meet the increasing demand on learning digital skills.

In an infograph published Tuesday under the title of "Digital Education Eyed by Egyptians", the Cabinet reviewed efforts exerted to upgrade the youths' skills to comply with the labor market needs especially in light of the recent state policy to introduce digitization to all services.

The Cabinet revealed that the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has trained more than 180,000 youth males and females as part of an initiative called "Our Future is Digital" to help in better qualifying youths for the labor market.

The infograph said the initiative aimed at adding new training programs for youths willing to learn web design, programing, data analysis and digital marketing.

It said the US Coursera Incorporation has highlighted the high demand by Egyptian students to hone their technological skills including software engineering, revealing that around 1.64 million Egyptians students, including 83,220 university students, have applied for courses via its digital platforms.
