CAIRO - 28 March 2022: The government attaches great importance to securing an adequate stock of petroleum products, especially as their prices have increased to record-high levels due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said.

Madbouli made the remarks during a meeting with Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek el Molla to follow up the latest global market developments and price fluctuations on the back of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.

Molla said that his ministry's ongoing projects are aimed at securing local market needs and closing this export gap, while contributing to the State's economic growth efforts.

He updated the prime minister on the projects and performance of the oil and gas sector and exploration activities nationwide, and the government's efforts to transform Egypt into an oil and natural gas hub in the region
