Palm Hills Developments & Taaleem inked an agreement with JBI to manage the implementation of Badya International University

Palm Hills Developments, the leading real estate developer and Taaleem Management Services, a leading higher education company inked an agreement with Julius Berger International (JBI) to supervise and manage the implementation of Badya International University. With investment worth EGP 2.1 billion, this massive project will be concluded in three faces and is scheduled for completion within three years.
 
The agreement between parties was signed by Mohammed Al Rashidi, Managing Director of Taaleem Management Services, Dr. Peer Lubasch Chief Executive Officer of Julius Berger International (JBI), and Eng. Ahmed Attallah Vice President for Developments at Palm Hills Developments. 
 
Situated in Badya City, west Cairo, and sprawling over 160,000 square meters, the university will be established in accordance with global educational standards, utilizing up-to-date technology. Badya International University is designed to accommodate over 9,000 students in a campus that comprises eight scientific and theoretical colleges with specialties in health, science, technology, engineering, fine arts, and business administration. Additionally, the university is planning to accredit certificates from a reputable European university as well as commencing a medical college in the academic year 2023–2024.
 
As stated by Yassin Mansour Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer of Palm Hills Developments “Our partnership with globally renowned companies exhibits our strategy and vision of establishing upscale projects following global market trends.” 
"We are confident in assigning Julius Berger International (JBI) to manage and supervise the implementation of Badya International University, relying on its 120 years of rich experience in constructing megaprojects. This comes in line with our commitment to implement the university in accordance with the highest global standards." Mansour added.
 
On that note, Mohamed Al-Rashidi, Managing Director of Taaleem Management Services added "Our partnership with Palm Hills Developments at Badya International University is in line with the company's strategy to enhance and develop the higher education in Egypt. We aim to cater to the annual increasing demand from the youth at the university level as well as draw in potential students from neighboring countries to study in Egypt,"
 
He added, "We also aim to deliver a world-class level of education at Badya International University, in the heart of Badya City, which is a central hub for innovation, creativity, and technology. Beginning with the design and establishment of Badya International University with the highest standards, and partnering with major European universities to bring forth breakthroughs in the field of higher education in Egypt”

“Badya International University will be built with cutting-edge technologies, emphasizing the significance of Badya as Egypt's first sustainable city and New October’s first smart city. We will also strive diligently to accelerate construction at the university in order to finalize and deliver the project within the set timeframe, taking pride in our ongoing, fruitful collaboration with Palm Hills Developments” Lubasch Added.
 
Badya City is the most prominent and biggest project by Palm Hills Developments in west Cairo, in partnership with New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA). Badya boasts the prominence of being the first sustainable city in Egypt and the first smart city nestled in the heart of New October. This innovative and revolutionary city spans over 3000 acres, encompassing 50,000 units, worth mentioning its strategic location that links the west and east of Cairo. 
 
Badya City encompasses a plethora of amenities such as education, recreation and health services, retail activities, as well as a sports club on an 80-acre area, making it the biggest in West Cairo. Additionally, the city provides its residents with six top-tier local and international schools, international malls, administrative offices, clubhouses, theatres, a spa, and international hotels, as well as vast greenery and several artificial lakes. 
 
Palm Hills Developments previously collaborated with Julius Berger International (JBI) to ensure the successful implementation of Badya’s design, which was accomplished by trailblazers of urban planning "AS+P" and Professor Albert Speer, the world's most prominent city designers. Moreover, the city crowned two of the most prestigious international awards: the Iconic Award and the German Design Award.
