CAIRO - 23 January 2022: The Directorate of Manpower in Cairo Governorate disbursed grants for irregular workers, which consisted of: 108 new-birth grants with a total of LE 217,000, 40 marriage grants amounting to LE 120,000, and 12 death grants for relatives with a total of LE 24,000.

 

According to a statement, 3 grants for the death of a worker were disbursed to 3 families, with a total of LE 30,000, and LE 2,000 for a minor surgical operation for a worker, in addition to the disbursement of the Prophet’s birthday grant to 3,049 registered workers with a total of LE 1.224 million; The total amount disbursed to this category reached 1,617,500 pounds for 3,213 registered workers.

 

This was announced by the Minister of Manpower, Mohamed Saafan; pointing out that the directorate has appointed 8,389 young people, of whom 115 are people with disabilities, in private and investment sector establishments; this is done through the returned certificates of registration, in the employment offices of the Directorate.

 

The number of registered persons wishing to work in these offices reached 26,368 young men, 280 of whom are “people with disabilities”, providing 1,747 job opportunities, issuing 2,732 skill level certificates, and 2,697 licenses to practice the craft.
