EGX ends Tuesday in green on Arab purchases

CAIRO – 11 July 2017: The benchmark index EGX 30 of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) gained 1.49 percent to reach 13,684 points on Tuesday.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 increased 0.40 percent to end at 690 points. The broader index EGX100 also added 0.53 percent to the level of 1,575 points.

Market capital leveled up LE 4 billion ($223 million), totaling LE 711 billion, up from LE 706.672 billion on Monday.

Foreign and local investors were net sellers with a total of LE 10 million and LE 58 million, respectively, while Arab traders purchased by LE 68 million.

Total turnover fell to LE 1.3 billion from LE 1.6 billion achieved Monday, while trade volume reached 509 million shares.

Saudi Egyptian Investment and Finance topped gainers and surged 9.9 percent, while El Kahera El Watania Investment led losers and slumped 9.7 percent.
