CAIRO - 6 December 2021: Egypt will announce a stimulus package to support the strategy of transition to a green economy during March, according to Deputy Minister of Finance, Ahmed Kojak.

Kojak added, during his speech at the Seventh CEO Conference 2021, that this integrated strategy is currently in the study phase, noting that the implementation process will start from the next fiscal year.

The Deputy Minister of Finance pointed out that there is a target to support the Egyptian Stock Exchange, noting that the ministry has a great vision during the coming period to achieve economic stability.

He noted that Egypt is one of the few countries that has maintained this stability in light of the Corona crisis, and has also achieved a reduction in the total deficit.

Kojak stressed that there are three main axes that the government and the ministry are currently working on, in light of the coronavirus pandemic, including maintaining economic stability and planned growth rates.

He added that the second axis is to provide incentive policies for economic activity, including green economy activities and encourage sustainable projects, at the level of the export sector and provide the required liquidity for it, and the third axis is to provide a greater role for the private sector during the coming period.
