Several developments to launch in governorate of Port Said

CAIRO - 10 July 2017: Several developments are being constructed in the governorate of Port Said including rural sanitation, infrastructure and housing projects according to a statement released by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Communities on Sunday.

Housing Minister Mostafa Madbouly toured the governorate to follow up on construction updates. He announced the beginning of the construction of 8,664 homes as part of the third phase of the social housing project. Approximately 4,032 in the first phase and 2,880 units in the second phase have been completed in the project.

Approximately 17,831 other homes are also being onstructed in different areas of the government, the statement read.

Madbouly was also updated on the recent rural sanitation project in the governorate worth EGP 500 million, which is expected to be completed in September.

Other developments in the governorate also include the 30th of June axis that extends 95 kilometers starting from south of Port Said and passing by the International Port Said/Damietta Coastal Road and comes across Ismailia Desert Road. The infrastructure project includes five lanes, 14 bridges, 16 tunnels for vehicles and two tunnels for pedestrians.
