During the meeting, Saeed briefed the Thai ambassador on Egypt's successful program for economic and social reform, as well as the governmental measures to cope with the Covid-19 crisis, mitigate its economic consequences, support the most affected sectors and help irregular employment, which contributed to achieving high rates of economic growth.

The government prioritizes policies that support the green economy, the minister said.

For his part, Ewtoksan praised the great changes made in Egypt, expressing his country's desire to activate cooperation in the economic field.

'Egypt is a promising country in investment's opportunities and future, especially in light of reforms achieved here,' the ambassador said.

Thai investors are interested in the agricultural and solar fields, he added.
