CAIRO - 28 September 2021: The Chemical Industries Export Council is preparing a clear plan for targeting the African market with the sector’s exports during the coming period, based on providing and providing information to exporting companies and factories, as well as working on being present in all forums and exhibitions of the African market, according to the head of the council, Khaled Abu El-Makarem.

He added that the chemical sector is the winning horse in the African continent for Egyptian exports, so it is working hard to develop our presence in the African market, at a time when fertilizer exports alone amount to about $1.2 billion during 2020.

Abu El-Makarem explained that the council is in constant contact with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to find the best ways to target the African market, by providing information and data through commercial representation offices about all the markets that we seek to enter during the coming period and the markets in which we seek to strengthen our presence.

The head of the Chemical Industries Export Council indicated that the new export support program focuses on the African market and supports it by bearing 80 percent costs, and this helps achieve the objectives of the various export sectors.
