The figures came during Petroleum Minister Tarek el Molla's meetings with the general assemblies of Misr Petroleum and CoPetrol companies to approve FY 2020/21 outcomes, the Petroleum Ministry said in a statement.

Molla affirmed the importance of improving the efficiency of marketing petroleum products and services provided to the citizens as well as expanding the two companies' investments.

Molla directed the attendees to revamp the main warehouses of the petroleum products across the country and increase distribution outlets in addition to digitalizing them.

The minister pointed to the importance of expanding in natural gas refueling and EV charging points at fuel stations.
