CAIRO – 9 July 2017: Egypt will increase the Cairo Metro ticket prices by up to 100 percent in 2018, Minister of Transport Hesham Arafat said on Sunday.
Arafat added in an interview with the independent daily newspaper Al-Masry Al-Youm that the tickets’ prices will range from LE 2 to LE 4 ($0.11 to $0.22) according to the number of stations used by the passengers.
