Housing Min offers new lands for housing projects in 19 cities

CAIRO - 9 July 2017: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Communities will be offering new land plots in 19 new cities for the public at all branches of the Housing and Developments banks on July 30.

The Ministry will offer 12,721 land plots targeted for social housing, 7,373 for special housing, 3,930 for above average, according to a released statement by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Communities.

Mostafa Madbouly the Minister of Housing and Urban Communities stated that the public lottery for the lands will be held next week, where offered lands feature floor plans ranging from 209 square meters to 1,500 square meters.

The lands are offered in cities including New Cairo, 6 October City, Sheikh Zayed, El-Shorouk, Obour City, 10 Ramadan City, 15 May City, New Minya, New Borg el-Arab, New Sohag City, New Tiba City, New Sadat, New Asyut, New Akhmeem, New Fayoum, New Beni Suef, New Damietta, New Qena, and Badr City.

Applicants who win a land in the public lottery are given construction permits while officially receiving the lands from the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA).

They are also required to provide a down payment worth LE 25,000 ($1,398), which is 25 percent of the total cost within two months of submitting the application, while the remaining cost of the land is paid throughout three annual installments.
