CAIRO – 24 June 2021: Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi launched Thursday "The Egyptian Initiative for Training on Industrial Digitalization" in collaboration with GE Digital.

 

Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi presented in November the revenues achieved in FY2019/2020, which rose from LE13.2 billion in FY2018/2019 to LE15.5 billion with an increase of 17 percent.

 

The ministry accomplished digitalization works for the Ministry of Defense and Military Production, and the Ministry of Interior.

 

The ministry upgraded a production line at Abou Zaabal Company for Specialized Industries (Military Factory 300) to cope with the fourth industrial revolution.

 

The ministry built mobile theaters for the Ministry of Culture; inaugurated an artificial grass factory; began the construction of an elevator factory; set a strategy to localize electric vehicle manufacturing and transform fuel-powered vehicles to gas-powered vehicles; and signed an agreement with the Ministry of Public Enterprise to establish a tire factory that caters to all types of vehicles.

 

 

The minister stated that there are 192 national projects that were still under progress. The total value of those is LE25 billion, and they are in the sectors of electricity and energy; water treatment; telecommunication and information technology; constructions; utilities and roads; transportation; local development; water resources and irrigation; agriculture and land reclamation; and, tourism and archeology.  

 

The ministry has also been founding companies that will produce solar cells from Egyptian quartz, electric buses, tires, butane gas cylinders, and water treatment plant that will adopt the Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) technology. In addition, it has been introducing additional production lines that produce loaders, tractors, agricultural machinery, and power generation filters.
