USD down 5 piasters, foreign currencies keep declining

CAIRO – 5 July 2017: The U.S. dollar exchange rate continued declining against the Egyptian pound in Wednesday banking transactions, It stood at an average of LE 17.84 for buying and LE 17.94 for selling, compared to an average of LE 17.89 for buying and LE 17.99 for selling recorded on Tuesday.

At the National Bank of Egypt, the dollar exchange recorded an average buying rate of LE 17.84 and sold at LE 17.94.

The dollar exchange also slumped at the Commercial International Bank (CIB), standing at LE 17.85 for buying and LE 17.95 for selling, compared to LE 17.87 for buying and LE 17.97 for selling in the previous day.

Responding to the downfall of the U.S. dollar exchange rate, other foreign currencies exchange rate kept declining.

The euro went down to an average of LE 20.25 for buying and LE 20.37 for selling, compared LE 20.34 for buying and LE 20.45 for selling on Tuesday.

The Great British Pound (GBP) exchange rate also declined to an average of LE 23.07 for buying and LE 23.20 for selling, down from LE 23.20 for buying and LE 23.34 for selling.

Arab currencies also slumped as the Saudi Riyal recorded LE 4.75 for buying and LE 4.78 for selling, while the Emirati Dirham recorded LE 4.85 for selling and LE 4.88 for buying.
The Kuwaiti dinar decreased to LE 58.79 for buying and LE 59.23 for selling.
