Major foreign currencies bend against Egyptian pound

CAIRO – 4 July 2017: Responding to the downfall of the U.S. dollar exchange rate against the Egyptian pound, major foreign currencies’ exchange rates deteriorated as a result.

After recording a slight increase Monday, the euro went down to an average of LE 20.34 for buying and LE 20.45 for selling, compared to LE 20.60 for buying and LE 20.72 for selling.

The Great British Pound (GBP) exchange rate also declined to an average of LE 23.20 for buying and LE 23.34 for selling, compared to LE 23.48 for buying and LE 23.63 for selling in the previous day.

Arab currencies also slumped as the Saudi Riyal recorded LE 4.77 for buying and LE 4.79 for selling, compared to LE 4.80 for buying and LE 4.83 for selling.

Also, the Emirati Dirham recorded LE 4.87 for selling and LE 4.89 for buying, compared to LE 4.91 for selling and LE 4.93 for buying Monday.

The Kuwaiti dinar decreased to LE 58.95 for buying and LE 59.39 for selling, from 59.52 for buying and LE 59.87 for selling.
