MOSCOW - 3 July 2020: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Friday said his country has welcomed reaching the immediate ceasefire initiative and launching a comprehensive political dialogue in Libya.

He added that both the Cairo Declaration and the outcomes of the Berlin conference on Libya can establish a base for an inter-Libyan dialogue.

Russia will continue its efforts to reach a solution to the Libyan crisis, Lavrov said during a meeting with Libyan Speaker Aguila Saleh, noting that the solution of the Libyan crisis will not be a military one, Africa Gate News reported.
