Africa 2019 Conference kicks off in Administrative Capital

CAIRO – 22 November 2019: Under President Abdel Fatah El Sisi’s auspices, Egypt’s Africa 2019 Conference kicked off on Friday, with participation of dignitaries and more than 2,000 international businesspersons, economic experts and entrepreneurs from Egypt and African countries.

The two-day conference is being organized by the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It will convene in the New Administrative Capital.



In the opening speech, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr said that the forum focuses on enhancing the growth rates of the continent through upgrading the infrastructure and activating the free trade and digitization.

She called for working together in Africa to achieve the development of the continent.

Two days ago, the minister emphasized the importance of Africa 2019 forum in promoting investment opportunities in Africa.

Nasr clarified that the forum will witness the announcement of development and investment agreements between development partners and the continent, in addition to providing opportunities for leaders and businessmen from the continent to discuss new agreements.

President Sisi will deliver a speech at the opening session of the forum.
In an official letter written on the official page of the conference, President Sisi said welcomed the guests, Heads of States and Governments, investors, regional funds and international institutions as well as development partners to Africa’s 2019 Forum.



He called for investing in Africa for a better future and development priorities within the framework of the ambitious African Agenda 2063.
