Egypt has clear vision towards its AU chairmanship: Diplomat

CAIRO - 28 October 2018: Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs, Ambassador Hamdi Sanad Loza, stressed on Saturday that Egypt has a clear vision towards its coming presidency of the African Union.

Loza was speaking during an Italy-Africa Conference, saying that Cairo is ready to work with its partners including Italy to achieve development goals in the African continent.

Egypt and Italy are eligible to foster trade between African and European countries through activating the ports' activity to boost the trade exchange, he added.

During his speech, the ambassador highlighted the importance of the Egyptian-Italian partnership in the field of marine and economy.

He also lauded the signing of a peace agreement between Ethiopia and Eritrea, a matter that bolsters security and stability in the continent.
