Building Humanity: Total of beneficiaries of 'Haya Karima' initiatives reach 46 million nationwide

CAIRO - 21 April 2026: The Haya Karima Foundation [Translated to Decent Life], revealed its areas of focus, reflecting the significant societal impact of its initiatives under the slogan "Building Humanity."

 

Statistics show that the foundation has successfully reached 46 million beneficiaries from various segments of society, relying on the efforts of 50,000 volunteers.

 

The foundation's social protection umbrella encompasses eight key pillars, which include: food support, economic empowerment, healthcare services, social justice, support for humanitarian cases, youth capacity building, social empowerment, and international relief aid.

- Food support topped the list of achievements, benefiting more than 32.5 million citizens. Initiatives included distributing hot meals through the "Sabeel" initiative, providing comprehensive food packages; expanding the network of subsidized meat and poultry outlets to 29 locations, and the "Decent Bite" initiative to provide bread to the most vulnerable families.

 

- In the health sector, the foundation successfully provided services to 2.8 million beneficiaries through free medical and veterinary caravans and performed surgeries for those in need.

 

- In the education sector, initiatives reached 137,000 students, including providing school supplies, developing over 300 computer labs through the "Technology Ambassadors" initiative, and establishing libraries in villages.

 

- The foundation did not limit itself to in-kind support but also focused on empowering 90,000 beneficiaries economically through initiatives such as "Sugar of Homes" to support women and "The Secret of the Craft" for vocational training.

 

- In the engineering field, 100,000 citizens benefited from the "Your Home is Prosperous" projects for home renovation and the development of health units.

 

- The foundation gave special attention to humanitarian cases (170,000 beneficiaries), contributing to preparing brides for marriage through the "Joy Lasts" initiative and providing wheelchairs for people with disabilities.

 

- At the international level, the foundation demonstrated Egypt’s leading role by sending more than 800 trucks of humanitarian and relief aid to the Gaza Strip.
