CAIRO - 2 January 2023: An economic and social development plan presented by the Minister of Planning, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, and approved by Parliament, confirmed the contribution of Haya Karima Initiative to achieving the goal of the National Human Rights Strategy towards increasing the number of housing units for all social segments.
 
The plan also seeks increasing the construction of new suitable housing units in the desert, with full coverage of social, economic and service services, as the 22/23 plan aims to complete the first phase projects, for which the value of directed investments is about EGP 20.6 billion.
 
This includes the number of homes of the most vulnerable families targeted to raise their efficiency, which amounts to 124 thousand homes.
 
In addition, the plan aims to achieve urban and integrated development, through several projects, including: Completion of integrated development for the people of remote areas, with funds amounting to 127 million pounds, and completing the integrated development of the people of Sinai with funds of 89.3 million pounds, according to the economic and social development plan submitted by the Minister of Planning.
 
At the forefront of the most important objectives of the National Human Rights Strategy, which the government seeks to achieve during the fiscal year 2022/2023, comes the plan to increase the number of housing units for all social segments, especially those with low incomes, and to provide facilities within the framework of real estate financing.
 
This adds to the goals of the strategy towards providing and developing basic services and facilities in residential communities and new cities, such as: health and educational services, the road and transportation network, increasing the construction of new cities, and appropriate housing units in the desert hinterland areas, enjoying full coverage of social, economic and service services, as well as developing areas that It did not undergo urban planning and renewal of basic utility networks.
