CAIRO - 4 October 2022: Under the presidential initiative 'Haya Karima,' Upper Egypt's governorate of Luxor is witnessing full-swing development works in 1,500 villages. 
 
In this regard, Counselor Mostafa Elham, Governor of Luxor, says that by working hard on the projects on a daily basis, the features of these projects began to appear on the ground. 
 
In the city of Esna, Major General Hisham al-Saadi, head of the Esna Center and City, stated that work is continuing on the building of the main sewage lifting station in the village of Al-Adayma in full swing to support the village deprived of sanitation over the past years, and work is also underway to dig power cables to connect transformers in the village. 
 
Salah Rashwan, the director of the Youth and Sports Directorate in Luxor Governorate, said that work is continuing to develop 37 youth centers and establish 4 new youth centers, in light of Haya Karima initiative (Decent Life) launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which aims to develop the Egyptian countryside. 
 
It is worth mentioning that the initiative includes 34 villages in the central area of ​​Esna and Armant of Luxor Governorate, as the implementation rates of the initiative projects in the governorate are in the first places at the level of the Republic.
