454 developmental projects being implemented in Aswan under Haya Karima initiative: Governor

CAIRO – 27 July 2021: A total number of 454 developmental projects are being executed in Aswan city, southern Cairo, at a cost estimated at L.E. 11.5 billion, with implementation rate reaching 97 percent.

 

Major General Ashraf Attia, Aswan Governor, confirmed that the executive position of the ongoing work in various service projects in all sectors is going well in the centers of Edfu, Kom Ombo and Nasr Al Nuba.

 

The General Authority for Educational Buildings has succeeded in completing the construction, replacement and renovation of 11 schools, while 49 other schools are being completed in the various targeted villages in the city, Governor Attia said.  

 

“Work is underway on 10 projects out of a total of 49 projects of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, and in parallel, a total of 38 projects out of 77 projects have been completed by the Health Directorate,” he added.

 

He further explained that at the same time work is underway to complete 36 other drinking and sanitation projects, 38 irrigation and canal lining projects, five postal projects and a veterinary medicine project.

 

He continued, that the Construction Authority is also implementing many projects, including 30 projects to establish service complexes, where each complex includes local administration, social solidarity, catering, civil registry, real estate registry, a technology center, ambulance units, firefighting unit, and a slaughterhouse.

 

Ashraf Attia added that natural gas and telecommunications projects will start after the completion of sewage projects in the targeted villages.
