CAIRO – 5 July 2021: The Ministry of Health and Population announced that 1,000 new ambulance vehicles will enter emergency services as part of the presidential initiative “Haya Karima.”

 

A number of 100 ambulance checkpoints will be developed on main roads and axes in Egypt, in addition to establishing 19 new ambulance points across governorates.

 

This comes as part of the ministry’s plan to develop the Egyptian ambulance system in conjunction with the boom that Egypt is witnessing in the new road network and axes.

 

And Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, announced the development of 100 ambulance points on the main roads and axes, and the establishment of 19 new ambulance points in all governorates of the Republic, as part of the ministry’s plan to develop the Egyptian ambulance system in conjunction with the boom that Egypt is witnessing in the new road network and axes.

 

Dr. Khaled Megahed, Assistant Minister of Health and Population for Information and Awareness and the official spokesperson for the ministry, explained that all ambulance points are equipped with the latest wireless communication devices, for the speed and ease of communication with the reports submitted by citizens.

 

He further added that the number of daily reports received by the Egyptian Ambulance Authority exceeds 13,000 calls, which are received through the emergency service’s hotline (123) in all governorates of the Republic.
