CAIRO – 17 March 2021: Hurghada International Airport received Tuesday evening the first flight coming from Kazakhstan, after a long hiatus due to the outbreak of Coronavirus.

 

The flight carried 160 passengers on board, operated for the first time by the National Aviation Company in the State of Kazakhstan, "Air Astana".

 

The Public Relations Department at Hurghada International Airport organized a massive reception for the passengers coming from Kazakhstan with flowers and chocolate.

Hussein Atta, director of the Kazakh National Aviation Company, "Air Astana" in Egypt, said that the company will operate two weekly flights to Hurghada International Airport, where the other flight is scheduled to arrive next Friday.

 

He stressed that the company operates seven weekly flights from Almaty and Nur Sultan airports to Sharm El Sheikh International Airport, and it is expected that the rates of inbound flights will increase at Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada airports during the next few months.
