CAIRO – 15 March 2021: Libyan Prime Minister Abdulhamid al-Dabaiba and the ministers at his government took oath of office Monday before the House of Representatives in Tobruk eastern the country.

 

Dabaiba pledged to "protect the independence and security of Libya as well as its territorial integrity," as reported by Sky News Arabia.

 

Head of the Presidential Council Mohamed al-Manfy that the new government "is in charge of creating the climate necessary to hold elections by the end of the year."

 

Speaker Aguila Saleh stipulated that the government "has to serve the people, improve citizens' living conditions, and most importantly rebuild Libya's state institutions." He also called upon "The National Unity Government" to expel foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya.

 

The government formed by Dabaibah was granted confidence by the parliament on March 10, and must be handed power immediately on Monday.
