CAIRO – 7 March 2021: Egypt condemns the abhorrent terrorist operation perpetrated in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, Friday evening, killing 20 people and injuring dozens.

 

Egypt expresses its sincere condolences and sympathies to the families of the innocent victims, as well as its wishes of a speedy recovery for the injured.

 

Egypt also affirms that it stands with the sisterly Federal Republic of Somalia, stressing solidarity with Somalia in its efforts to counter terrorism, violence and extremism in order to restore security and stability in the country.

 

On Friday evening, a car bomb targeted a restaurant in the capital, killing 20 people and inuring 30 others, Reuters reported.
