CAIRO – 6 March 2021: Sudan’s Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok will make an official visit to Egypt on 11 and 12 March, presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said on Saturday.

Hamdok’s upcoming visit comes a week after Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi made an official visit to Khartoum on Saturday, during which he met with Hamdok; head of Sudan's Transitional Military Council Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan; and his deputy, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti).

During the meetings, they discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern and the cooperation and joint developmental projects between the two countries including railway linkage project and electricity linkage.

Their negotiations also shed light on the GERD dispute.
