SIS chief receives Chinese media delegation to discuss fostering mutual ties

CAIRO - 4 July 2017: State Information Service (SIS) Chairman Diaa Rashwan received on Monday deputy head of the Chinese State Council Information Office and her accompanying delegation to discuss means of fostering bilateral relations in the media field.

The meeting was also attended by Chinese Ambassador in Cairo Song Aiguo.

In the meeting, Rashwan asserted the importance of highlighting terrorism threats. He also called for boosting mutual ties especially in human capacity development and the experience exchange domains.

Meanwhile, deputy head of the Chinese State Council Information Office pointed out that a number of Chinese media outlets are working in Egypt, stressing that they are presenting the real and positive developments in Egypt.

She also invited Rashwan to visit China to discuss means of fostering cooperation.
