CAIRO - 2 July 2017: The Customs Authority at Cairo International Airport foiled an attempt to smuggle a huge amount of foreign currency into the country in violation of the law of Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

The 86,000 euros seized sum was in the possession of an Egyptian passenger coming from Germany’s Frankfurt, an official source with the Customs Authorities said in a statement on Sunday.

A report was filed and all legal procedures against the passenger were taken, the statement added.
