Hegazy meets Libyan delegation

CAIRO - 2 July 2017: Military Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Mahmoud Hegazy met on Sunday with Abu Al-Qasim Kzeit, a member of the Libyan State Supreme Council, and his accompanying delegation.

They discussed the latest developments in Libya and the outcome of meetings held in Cairo in December 2016 to settle the Libyan crisis.

During December's meeting, Parties called for maintaining Libyan territories and putting an end to bloodshed in Libya.

They also urged Libyan parties to engage in a dialogue to reach a peaceful settlement of the crisis and rebuild state institutions.

The Egyptian side praised efforts exerted to eradicate terrorism in Libya and reunite the Libyan people.
