CAIRO – 4 February 2021: Families of 120 Egyptian fishermen in El-Borg town in Damietta demanded the release of their relatives who were detained by Eritrean navy forces last month.

The fishermen were sailing in five fishing boats off Eritrean coasts in January, in a fishing trip that launched from Baranees port in southern Red Sea.

Some of the families urged the state to help release their relatives, some of whom are either elderly or suffer chronic illness and need to receive their treatment.
