Egypt welcomes new power-sharing government in Yemen

CAIRO – 19 December 2020: Egypt welcomed the formation of a new power-sharing government in Yemen under the Saudi brokerage, said Egyptian Spokesperson Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Hazef in a statement on Friday.
 
The new government came in implementation of the Riyadh Agreement terms, Hafez said, adding that such agreement is a step towards reaching a comprehensive political settlement to the Yemeni crisis.
 
Hafez voiced Egypt appreciation to Saudi efforts to implement the Riyadh Agreement support efforts a political solution to the Yemeni crisis, praising the keenness of the Yemeni parties [the southern separatists and the government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi] to reach an agreement aims at bringing stability to the country.
 
Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi issued a decree on forming the new government and appointed Maeen Abdulmalek as a Prime Minister.
