CAIRO - 18 December 2020: Mauritian Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth said his country is keen to lure more Egyptian investments in the fields of infrastructure, renewable energy, blue economy, textiles, tourism, water desalination, handicrafts, and agricultural industrialization.

Jugnauth made these remarks on Friday during his meeting with Egypt's newly-appointed Ambassador to Mauritius Aliaa Burhan, hailing the strength of relations between the two countries.

The Mauritian premier expressed his happiness for meeting President Abdel Fattah El Sisi at the UK-Africa Investment Summit, held in January in London and other meetings on the sidelines of the African Union summits and UN General Assembly's meetings.

Burhan, for her part, noted that she is interested in developing the economic ties and doubling the volume of trade exchange with Port Louis in terms that Egyptian businessmen eye benefiting from the available investment opportunities in Mauritius.
