Agriculture min. heads to Rome

CAIRO - 1 July 2017: Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Abdel Mon'em el Banna left here on Saturday heading for Rome to participate in the African Union - European Union agriculture ministers conference, to run through Tuesday.

Ahead of departing, the minister said he would also attend the conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), dubbed "climate change, agriculture and food security".

Egypt's vision and strategy to achieve sustainable development and improve the investment climate will be reviewed during the visit, Abdel Mon'em went on to say.

On the sidelines of the visit, the minister is also scheduled to hold bilateral talks with his counterparts from African and European countries.

The meetings will take up means of bolstering cooperation between Egypt and these countries in the agriculture field.
