CAIRO – 9 December 2020: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has held talks with Dassault Aviation CEO Éric Trappier as part of his two-day official visit to France.

During the talks, which took place at Sisi’s residence in Paris, both sides tackled fruitful cooperation, given Dassault's expertise in top-notch technological and technical military industries.

As he referred to Egypt's pioneering role in international efforts to combat terrorism, Trappier praised the cooperation with Egypt in the fields of security and defense.

He further ensured his keenness to “proceed with this cooperation in order to promote Egypt's role in serving security and stability in the region.”

For his part, Sisi stressed the grave challenges facing the region, adding that “this requires supporting the use of up-to-date technological systems in the fields of security and defense.”

He further added that “Egypt is committed to maintaining its security and this is reflected in the stability and security of eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East.”

President Sisi arrived Sunday in Paris, and met on Monday with his French Counterpart Emanuel Macron, where both leaders discussed bilateral relations, and different international issues of common interest.
