CAIRO - 1 December 2020: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry asserted on Monday Egypt’s supportive stance for “brothers in Bahrain, and for the security and stability of the Arab Gulf”. This came during his meeting with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif al-Zayani in Cairo.
 
 
Shoukry praised the level of cooperation between Egypt and Bahrain, affirming Cairo’s keenness to bolster them in various fields upon directives from the political leaderships in both countries; in a way that meets the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.
 
 
According to a statement released by Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Hafez, Shoukry and Zayani exchanged viewpoints on regional and international files, as well as on the accelerating incidents that require rallying efforts and coordination between Cairo and Manama.
 
 
Talks between the two ministers have reflected conformity of viewpoints on issues of common interest, the spokesman noted.
 
 
Meanwhile, the Bahraini minister asserted Manama’s support for all Egyptian national security requirements, noting in the same regard that his country appreciates the Egyptian role that supports stability in the region.
 
 
Zayani also praised the pace of coordination and consultation maintained between the two countries.
