This comes as a continuation of the comprehensive security plan adopted by the Ministry of Interior to secure citizens while they cast their votes during the electoral process.

The security plan includes intensive security deployment surrounding the polling stations, and all main roads, in addition to managing traffic movement to facilitate the voters' access to polling stations.  

The security measures extend to protect important and vital installations, support security services in the surrounding area, and push for rapid intervention and deployment forces, to deal immediately with all emergency situations to maintain security and order.

The security commanders in the governorates have also inspected forces participating in the operation, the ministry further said.

The ministry also called on all citizens to commit to security instructions and cooperate with the policemen in order to secure and protect the electoral process.
