CAIRO - 18 November 2020: The Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) published a video Wednesday on its Facebook page, commenting on Egypt Economic Monitor report recently issued by the World Bank, monitoring the country’s economic performance over the past years and until 2020.

The report commended Egypt's success in enhancing its macroeconomic variables due to the economic reform program, said the IDSC, adding that the State's financial and monetary policies were restructured taking into consideration the most vulnerable classes in the society. 

The cabinet further said that the World Bank's report highlighted that the success was evident in the improvement of the fiscal accounts and external accounts in FY 2018/2019. 
 
The Regional Director of the World Bank in Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti Marina Wes stated that, "Egypt succeeded in stabilizing its economic performance, in 2020, regardless of COVID-19 challenges".
