CAIRO - 7 November 2020: In an inexplicable phenomenon, a group of villagers in Al-Wadi Al-Gadid (New Valley) governorate found a piece of land belches out heavy smoke and thermal flames, Al Shorouk newspaper reported on Saturday.
 
The land locates in Al-Hindaw village of Al-Dakhla city in the governorate, 731 km away from Cairo in the Western Desert.
 
Head of the Dakhla city Nabil Hanafi said that a scientific team headed to the site and collected samples to answer all questions regarding this phenomenon. Some villagers thought that it is sulfur smoke.
