CAIRO – 2 November 2020: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has called on citizens to abide by precautionary measures to fight COVID-19 otherwise the state will take difficult steps similar to those applied before, pointing out that some countries took stringent measures including total lockdown.

 

During a webinar involving the ministers of Awqaf, tourism, antiquities, supply, higher education, culture, finance, local government, interior, health, youth, information, civil aviation and social solidarity, he urged the citizens to wear masks with taking into consideration social distancing.

 

Madbouli stressed the importance of providing medicines in government hospitals and pharmacies, referring to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives on the importance of buying medical equipment within the framework of the Central Bank of Egypt's initiative to promote the efficiency of hospitals as part of good governance.

 

Minister of Health Hala Zayed reviewed a report on the number of COVID-19 cases saying a new wave of the virus appeared in European countries and started to appear some countries in the region.
