Egypt’s Chief of Staff Mohamed Farid heads to Sudan

CAIRO – 31 October 2020: Chief of Staff of Armed Forces Lieutenant General Mohamed Farid left Cairo Saturday, heading to Sudan in an official visit.

 

As soon as he arrived in Khartoum, Farid was greeted by Lieutenant General Muhammad Othman Al-Hussein, Chief of Staff of the Sudanese Armed Forces. An official reception ceremony and a parade of the honor guard were held, besides the national anthems of both the Arab Republic of Egypt and the State of Sudan were played.

 

During the visit, the Egyptian Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces is expected to hold many important meetings on the level of military and security cooperation, and to coordinate efforts between the armed forces of both countries in many fields.
