CAIRO – 8 October 2020: Advisor to Egyptian President for Health Affairs Mohamed Awad warned of a new wave of Coronavirus pandemic, with huge number of infections being detected.

In his TV statements, Awad stressed that Egyptians should adhere to precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the virus, especially maintaining social distances.

He explained that there are still coronavirus cases that require intensive care.

He further ensured that the figures announced by the Ministry of Health regarding the infections, the recovery and the death toll “are true and should not be questioned,” adding that “it is not in anyone’s interest to conceal anything related to the virus.”
