CAIRO – 27 September 2020: The Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly convened Sunday the third meeting of the Ministerial Committee of Tourism and Antiquities that included several members of the cabinet such as the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled Anani, Minister of Finance Mohammed Maait, Minister of culture, Enas Abdel Dayem and the president of Egyptian Tourism Federation, Ahmed al Wasif.

Madbouly asserted the importance of the Tourism sector adding that the government has just passed a bundle of decisions to support and boot this sector amid the current predicament caused by the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Prime Minister said that the financial aid will continue for those who work in the tourism sector till the end of December.

Minister Khaled Anani viewed during the meeting the current status of the tourists’ influx since the return of tourism in July, he also addressed the steps taken by the Ministry to bolster tourism rates in Egypt.
