Gazzar asserted that Cairo is keen to cooperate with Baghdad, noting that coordination at the ministerial level between both countries' governments is underway for inviting a number of Iraqi ministers to visit Egypt soon and follow up various development projects that are being implemented across the Egyptian state.

Egypt will soon extend an invitation to the Iraqi ministers to visit Egypt to identify mechanisms and discuss means of cooperation between Cairo and Baghdad, in addition to Egypt’s participation in the reconstruction of Iraq, Gazzar said.

The minister also welcomed transferring the Egypt's in-house expertise to Iraq in the fields of infrastructure and building housing units for the low-income strata.

Egypt will not only offer technical support to Iraq in this field, but also will transfer its expertise in distributing these housing units for those deserving them, he added.

Meanwhile, the Iraqi envoy delivered the Iraqi government’s greetings to the Egyptian state, wishing Egypt further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

He voiced his keenness on seeing cooperation between the Egyptian and Iraqi governments in all fields.

He expressed hope that Egypt would transfer its expertise in the housing and urban development to the Iraqi state and that the Egyptian construction companies would strongly participate in implementing various projects in his country.
