CAIRO – 21 September 2020: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi receives a phone call from Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday, discussing the bilateral relations and regional and international issues of mutual concern, said Egyptian Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Radi in a statement.
 
 
Over the phone call, both leaders tackled the ways of enhancing the bilateral relations in a way to serve the countries, Radi added.
 
 
President Sisi was the first Arab leader who congratulated the UAE for its deal of normalization with Israel on August 13, 2020.
 
 
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi praised the newly-announced agreement  saying: “I followed with great interest and appreciation the tripartite joint statement between the United States of America, the […] The United Arab Emirates and Israel regarding the agreement to stop Israel's annexation of the Palestinian territories,” said President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on his official Twitter.
 
 
He praised this move as it would “bring peace to the Middle East,” Saying “I value the efforts that were exerted by those who in charge of this agreement in order to achieve prosperity and stability for our region.”
 
 
On September 11, 2020, the President also appreciated a peace deal reached between Bahrain and Israel to forge diplomatic relations.
