CAIRO – 2 September 2020: Egypt has sent a new aid plane to Lebanon carrying 550 COVID-19 treatment protocols, according to the Egyptian Ministry of Information.

Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon Yasser Elwi stated that the air bridge that was launched by Egypt to send relief assistance to Lebanon includes four phases.

According to Ambassador Elwi, the first includes medical assistance, the second includes medical and food aid, especially flour, the third includes medical teams, and the fourth includes contributions to reconstruction materials.

Last month, Egypt opened an air bridge to send urgent medical aid to Lebanon, a day after a blast in the capital, Beirut on August 4, reportedly killed at least 100 people and injured at least 4,000 others.
