BEIRUT, Aug 24 (MENA) - Egypt will grant full training scholarships for Lebanese students at Egyptian factories and hospitals in terms of the Egyptian political leadership's keenness to support Lebanon.

This will occur under a memorandum of understanding signed on Monday between Beirut Arab University and the Egyptian-Lebanese Business Council under the auspices of Egypt's Ambassador in Beirut Yasser Elwi.

The MoU was signed by President of Beirut Arab University Amr Galal Al-Adawi and Head of the Lebanese-Egyptian Business Council Rabie Hassouna.

The training scholarships will cover fields of mechanical and telecommunications engineering, petroleum engineering, and pharmacy.

Elwi said the Egyptian scholarships falls within a framework of an Egyptian vision to support Lebanon at all levels not only at the government one.

Egypt believes that standing with Lebanon should not be limited to the relief side in the current exceptional circumstances, but it should be extended to cover different domains, the ambassador added.

Meanwhile, Hassouna thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for Egypt's aid and support to Lebanon to overcome the blast ramifications.
